The Fire That Sets You Free: When His Presence Breaks Every Chain

Some fires do not come to destroy you. They come to reveal what was holding or binding you.

When this fire comes upon you, it does not consume you…it consumes only what binds you.

Like the fiery coal placed on Isaiah’s tongue. It didnt burn his toungue but it consumed the uncleanliness in his toungue.

Like the fire that Daniel’s friends were thrown into…it did not burn them. The fire did not burn their hair. It did not consume their clothes. When they came out, they did not even smell like smoke. The only thing the fire burned away was what had been tying them up: THE ROPE.

isn’t it amazing that they didn’t rush out of the fire, though that would be the natural instinct? They kept walking in the fire, unbound, free, and filled with joy. This is the kind of fire the Lord brings.

It will not quench you…it will free you. And in that freedom, your joyful response becomes: “Here I am, Lord, send me.”

(Isaiah 43:2; Jeremiah 23:29)
